As you may know, this will be an open seat following the retirement of the Honorable Amy Sigmon Walker. It is important we get this right! If my opponent is elected, he will be required to retire during the term due to mandatory retirement age for judges. When that happens, the voters will not choose his replacement, the Governor will.

I am in District Court every single day, often in multiple courtrooms, and have been for more than a decade. I have handled cases as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. My opponent claims if this was about experience, he is the obvious choice. I strongly disagree. He has not stepped foot in District Court since 2014. Experience is not about years ago, its about being present, current and actively serving in today's courtrooms.
